Our Leadership
The 988 Awareness Project was founded in 2022 following the official launch of the 988-dialing code in July 2022. Our mission is simple: to spread the word about this life-saving resource, especially among military veterans, young adults and teenagers, groups that are disproportionately affected by suicide and mental health issues. Please help us Share the Number and Spread the Word!
We have a small but mighty team. Our Leadership is closely involved in outreach efforts to schools, military veteran organizations, teen groups, academic clubs, sports teams and other resources. Our talented Teen Committee is made up of teenagers from across a wide range of demographics and backgrounds. Meet some of the members of the Teen Committee's Leadership team below.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we receive money through donations and grants.
If you’d like to help us spread the word or make a donation, contact us here.
If you'd like to join us as an Ambassador, contact us here.
